Today, the X account of my company, @StableBuildInc, was suspended. For context, it’s a free account: we don’t pay X anything. The email only said the account had been reported for breaking X’s rules against “inauthentic behaviors”, without saying what we did wrong.

The end of the email made me laugh, though. A suspension doesn’t cancel your X Premium subscription, so a paying user would keep paying for an account they can’t use. I guess I was glad I did not pay anything to X :p

Expecting the worst (i.e. no answer from support), we sent an appeal through X’s public form. Less than an hour later, X Support wrote back that there had been no violation and that the account was restored to full functionality!

Compare that with LINE, where my account has been suspended for about a year and a half and it took a lawsuit and more than a year just to learn what they had detected. I didn’t expect X’s support to turn out more helpful than LINE’s.
